A cornerstone of any thriving democracy and a vital pillar of the rule of law is a free, independent, and ethical press. It is this conviction that began the story of Pak Media Foundation in 1989. Incorporated under the Companies Ordinance 1984, the Foundation was established by Shaheed Chairperson, Benazir Bhutto, with the primary objectives of promoting the welfare, education, and well-being of journalists, alongside serving all segments of the media community and recognizing the crucial role of an informed citizenry in a democratic society.
